This video work is a response to contextual prompts offered by and negotiated through locale. For this work I explored the urban neighborhood of Clifton in Karachi, Pakistan from my rural home in Assam, India. The work features a fortification wall, erected to protect politically exposed residents, and a residential compound wall. This work protracts multiple registers of mobility, fortification, duty, colour values and shared heritage.
This work was made within the framework of Experimenter's Learning Module XVII conducted by Bani Abidi and Priya Sen.
